Snow Day-Take the Kids Sledding in Berkeley

GoldenGateFieldsMost of the parents we meet around the Bay Area are “transplants”.  They grew up in the Northeast, Midwest, Eastern Europe or somewhere else with frigid Winters.  It’s pretty sad that children can go years without building a snowman, having a snowball fight or sledding! Well, now us Californians can.

For almost 70 years Golden Gate Fields has been hosting live horse racing in Berkeley.  All types of people come to bet, have fun or just eat the

$1 hot dogs.  For this Snow Day they are bringing in 40 tons of snow to create a sledding hill and snowy play areas.  All sleds and snow toys will be provided by Golden Gate Fields.  Come teach your kid a thing or two about Winter.

Hey guys, met up with you on Twitter and finally got around to checking out your site. Very cool. Being a Dad as well I really need to read up on this more. Now I tried to find an outdoor section just to see how it could fit with MCM but didnt see? Do you have a spot and I missed it?
    Talk with you later.

The average dad spends about 6 hours a week with his kids. That’s not perfect, but today’s dads are doing better than the previous generation. PlaygroundDad.com is for the dads who dare to make the most of these 6 sacred hours–no smart phones; no conference calls–just quality time.

Playground Dad connects this new generation of fathers with the events and products that help them spend better time with their newborn to grade school aged kids.
