These Pacific sardines are huddled under a wharf to avoid predators in Ha'apai, Tonga. A Western fisherman might net a few dozen of these and spend two hours fishing from the wharf for a dogtooth tuna or bluefin trevally, whereas the locals are wise enough to just take the sardines home and eat them.
