Playground Dad Website Preview

We are thrilled to launch Playground Dad and to create, what we hope to be, valuable content and services for dads across the country. With this being the site’s first blog post, we wanted to give you an idea of what you can expect from Playground Dad.

As we mention on our homepage,  the events portion of our will focus on the San Francisco Bay area first. We want to make sure we’re connecting Bay Area dads with events that truly help them to spend better time with their kids. As we get your feedback and get it right, we’re looking forward to rolling out Playground Dad to the new generation of dads in throughout the country. We’re obviously excited to launch in November as we’ll get to feature all of the great events that occur in the Bay Area during the holiday season.

The other focus of our site is highlighting products that we think can make a difference in how dads interact with their kids. We scour the web and retail outlets to find products that matter. It’s important for us to point out that we’re not trying to push goods on this site and we’re also not a product review website. We want to simply highlight useful products that are in line with our mission of helping dads spend better time with their kids.

As we get started, your feedback is what’s going to really make this thing go, so when we say “contact us” we really mean it. Let us know if you have ideas on how to make the Playground Dad service better; let us know if you have events that would be perfect for dads and their kids; let us know if you’ve come across a new product that will help make dad’s life easier. Email us anytime here: info@playgrounddad.com.

We hope you enjoy the website and we look forward to growing and getting in front of more dads who are looking to spend better time with the kids.

Thanks,
Mike

There are many fathers that love to spend time with their children, but you seldom hear about them because they are overshadowed by the “Dead Beat Dad” stories. The exciting thing about Playground Dad is that it not only assists fathers in their desires to create memories for their children, but it serves as a medium through which great fathers can have a significant influence on the fathers that need coaching, inspiration, vision, and or hope. I’m a fan!

I was playing with my 3-year old daughter in the sand & surf of a Central California beach when this guy walking past stops, shakes my hand, and says, “Thanks for being a great dad!” For me, playing with my daughter was a natural activity — for him, he saw somebody shaping the next generation and recognized the positive impact on the community at large (himself included).

Congrats on the launch of your site.
There are SO many great dads whose devotion to their kids often does go unrecognized.
We’re looking forward to hearing more.
    Good luck!
