What do you think of this mom’s approach to teaching her daughter a lesson about being an idiot on Facebook? I’m on board…

In general, I’m against the whole shaming thing. Unless your goal is to hurt your child however you can, then I guess by all means shame away. I predict our heroine will post another alcohol related pic in 3 years with a “Now what, Mom?” caption.

I think the parent has brought herself down to the childs level in making silly photos and is no better than she. I also think parents forget how crushing social-suicide is to a teenager and how many actual suicides take place every year because of bullying, isolation and peer group ridicule. It’s great inter-tainment, cheap laughs for the click’n'forget masses. It’s not a solid way to raise healthy, well adjusted young adults.

This almost like spanking your kid in public, would you do that?!

I agree with this parent’s approach. The punishment fits the infraction. The parent is trying to prevent the child from schools and employers seeing objectionable pictures .

The average dad spends about 6 hours a week with his kids. That’s not perfect, but today’s dads are doing better than the previous generation. PlaygroundDad.com is for the dads who dare to make the most of these 6 sacred hours–no smart phones; no conference calls–just quality time.

Playground Dad connects this new generation of fathers with the events and products that help them spend better time with their newborn to grade school aged kids.
