Outsourcing Creativity: Review of ItsyKits
You know those Pinterest parents who just ooze creativity? Whose craft ideas are bound for some art gallery?
I’m not one of them. My idea of a craft is printing off coloring pages from the Internet. Creativity is a virtue that we want to see developed in our daughters but honestly I don’t have the best ideas for crafts and art projects. I also don’t have the time to wade through Pinterest to find ideas that might work.
I would much rather outsource creativity to someone else.
In steps ItsyKits from the creative minds at ItsySparks!
ItsyKits are monthly activity kits complete with all the needed materials designed around a common theme. They also include other ideas to take the projects even further. And its all delivered to your doorstep without having to come up with ideas on your own. No trips to Hobby Lobby for googley eyes needed.
We received an ItsyKit designed around the theme of “Seasons.” The girls made a summer lei, a button tree, “stained glass” mittens and even put together a little cup which grass will grow in. Each project came with excellent step-by-step directions, book recommendations to read about the theme, games to play and even recipes!
The girls loved them and we didn’t have to spend any time on Pinterest to find the ideas!
