MyKidPad – New Kickstarter Could Save Your iPad From Kids’ Destruction

We have a couple of iPads in our house and they quickly became a kids device…a very expensive kids device. The kids get the most use out of them by watching shows and playing games. But as all parents know, kids are messy. They have syrup on their hands when there is no syrup in the house. They break things. They’re destructive. Therefore, this Kickstarter campaign got my attention.

How can I truly protect our iPads from the imminent danger of little kids?

Here’s one way:

Video on how it’s built:

I’ve been looking for something like this to use in the classroom with multiple iPads but it looks like this one covers the headphone jack which would be a problem.

The average dad spends about 6 hours a week with his kids. That’s not perfect, but today’s dads are doing better than the previous generation. PlaygroundDad.com is for the dads who dare to make the most of these 6 sacred hours–no smart phones; no conference calls–just quality time.

Playground Dad connects this new generation of fathers with the events and products that help them spend better time with their newborn to grade school aged kids.
