Event of the Week: The Most Popular Act in My House Comes To Life This Weekend

As all parents must know, the children’s entertainment business is highly competitive one. Our kids are brutal critics. They are quick to judge, discredit, insult….anything, everything. But when they like something, they are ALL in. And the current talk of the town in my house is Nickelodeon’s Fresh Beat Band.

The model is familiar. 4 teenagers (Twist, Kiki, Shout and Marina) that sing and dance their way through adventures. But they’re updated, modern and they kids just love them. I have to admit though that the music is pretty infectious. My 4 and 5 year old daughters went nuts when they found out that they Fresh Beat Band will be taking their show on the road with a national tour. They are in Oakland, CA this weekend and travelling throughout the country. We’ll be at the Oakland show and giving you the full recap of the event. This show is sure to be a great one for your preschool to kindergarten aged kids.

Info on Oakland, CA Show (this weekend):
The Fresh Beat Band will be appearing Sunday, February 12^th at the Fox Theater in Oakland at 1:30pm and 4:30pm. The Fox Theater is located at 1807 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, CA (located 1 block from the 19^th Street BART station).  Ticket prices range from $19.50 to $39.50.  Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster, TheFoxOakland.com and APEConcerts.com or at ticket outlets: Ritmo Latino, select FYE stores, every Friday and show nights at the Fox Theater Box Office.
