Dads, Show This Image To Your Daughters

As a father of 4 girls, I have seen girls as young as 3 and 4 years old affected by media ideas of beauty.

I saw this image on my Facebook stream this AM and thought it had a powerful message – elegantly designed.

Love it! As a father of two girls and one that is now almost 8, this is a great message. My oldest is starting to be self conscious of her body and we are trying to reinforce what true beauty is all about.

This is great Mike! My wife told me that she read a statistic last week that some 60% of girls feel inhibited with what they do because they are unhappy with their physical appearance. How sad :( This image is a good step to educate our girls when they are young enough to learn that appearance isn’t everything.

So much sexualisation of children is permitted by business yet a parent is considered as a sexual pervert if they see their own child in the bath. It’s an odd twisted mixed up world.

      • Our Mission

The average dad spends about 6 hours a week with his kids. That’s not perfect, but today’s dads are doing better than the previous generation. PlaygroundDad.com is for the dads who dare to make the most of these 6 sacred hours–no smart phones; no conference calls–just quality time.

Playground Dad connects this new generation of fathers with the events and products that help them spend better time with their newborn to grade school aged kids.
